Writing on a Lamp Post
I’m curious about why people write their “I love..” in public places. I keep meaning to find out the name of this location in the city. I don’t know much about it – other than it is popular with wedding photographers – and students. Perhaps there is the connection.

Loading a Motorcycle
I originally posted this without any words – after all, my blog is called “Mostly Pictures”. But then I had dinner and thought about it.
If I were photographing in Bangkok, the monks would probably be my favourite subject – ideally talking on mobile phones or something slightly jarring. In Ho Chi Minh City my subject has to be motorcycles. Or rather “people and motorcycles”.

Motorcycles in Water
Quite a bit of rain lately – these pictures are from a couple of weeks ago.

Motorcycle Shadow
Goodness it was hard work writing my entry today – but finally at (almost) midnight things appear to be working again.
I’m not sure how this will look in your screen. Depending on how I tilt the screen on my laptop it is either too dark or too light. But just maybe I have found the “Goldilocks” solution and things will be “just right”.
I think in an earlier post I wrote about traffic in Ho Chi Minh City. I’m still searching for a picture which really shows what it looks and more importantly “feels” like.
Exciting news of the moment is that next weekend I will be attending Bar Camp 6 in Singapore.

Waiting
I was going to post another “Crazy Rush Hour in Ho Chi Minh City” picture, with hundreds of people on motorbikes all trying to go in different directions at once. But then I thought “Everyone does that”. So I’ve posted this “Rush Hour” picture instead.
Sometimes there aren’t any motorbikes – even when you want them (I should imagine this woman does)!

Numbers on a Wall
You see similar numbers to these painted on walls all over the city. What they mean, I do not know. But I liked the colour contrast – and the way the paint had run (a bit), so I took a picture.
