Leaves in the Park
Revisiting Old Photos
Ok. I’m reposting a photograph I posted last November. I’ve been working on my retouching (there incidentally is “a can of worms”).
Toy in the Park
I was walking in the park (in District 3) – then I saw this toy. I liked the colours – so I took a picture!
Some day I will write a one word description.
In the Park
I think there are basically two schools of photography: those who photograph leaves and those who don’t. I suspect photographing flowers is an activity of the militant wing of the Leaf Photography School.
I was drawn to flower by theĀ texture of the petals and their still-fresh whiteness, which usually quickly fades. It is all about mortality really. Much like most of art. The still-life studies of flowers and fruit, attempting to capture a transitory phase of perfection before decay.
Or in my case, something which caught my eye on a hot Sunday afternoon, as I walked in the park.
A Companion in the Park
Super busy at the moment. Next weekend I’m supposed to be going to Bar Camp 4 in Singapore – and I want to have the time to myself. I wonder how that will work out!
I posted my Christmas cards at the post office. Then I sat in the park for a while, frowning at all the happy people. Repelled by their laughs and smiles, I decided to sit on my own (best company and all that). Anyway, so I sat until this little fella hopped past. Amazing camoflague. He was very small (may be 1 1/2″ long) and when he sat still – he just disappeared. I’m trying to work out what he is.
